Oh, rant
Thou are as a freshening breeze
Billowing through the open doors
of the horse barn

Lifting the stinky effluvium
And catching it, wafting it away
To disperse
Into the heavens

Now, the ether is clear
of your heady aroma,
Oh, rant

those poor call center workers, they get no respect. i read an article about a man blowing a whistle into a callers ear, next night the caller blew an emergency air horn into his phone. there's a message here somewhere.

OK, here goes...

I have the glamorous job of working part time in a convenience store. Why do people think we keep change for $100 bills in our cash register? People, we are trying NOT to get robbed and only keep about 40 bucks in there. Don't get all huffy when it takes us a few minutes when we have to go into the safe and take out the money to cash your stupid $100 bill. Better yet? Don't use your stupid $100 bill at a stupid convenience store!

Also, we are not freaking Bank of America. Do you need $40 worth of $1.00 bills for your garage sale? GO TO THE BANK! We have limited change that we need to be able to give to CUSTOMERS who BUY STUFF at our store.

I have a ton more to say about the morons who treat us like dirt because of our job but I will save that one for another time.

Whoa! I never knew what to do when something like this happened to me. Can one retroactively invoke a Pox on someone's house? Someone put a scratch on my car years ago, but I have never forgotten! ;(

I love it when posters change their screen names because of something that occurs in a discussion thread. Right on, Old Rocker!

My key chain just broke. Waaaaaaaaaa! It was the kind that's attached by elastic thread and pulls back in after I let go of the key. The elastic broke so there's no way to fix it. ;(

Why me, why is it always me?!!!

(I know it's not, but it sure feels good to be able to pretend for just a minute that all the bad things happen to only me!)

I have this, too! And I don't use credit cards, just debit. I actually waited through the recorded message and asked the human who answered why they were calling me. He hung up!

But... I have not gotten any calls since then. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

I live a few blocks away from the high school, small town one high school. When we moved here we had one in high school and one in middle school. No problem with the short walk to school for either one. Over the years the 2 streets leading to the school have become busier. It's pure he** trying to get out of our street onto the one that goes by the high school at the start of classes and again at the end. A few years ago a TEENAGER was hit by a car when he jay walked, now we have flashing yellow lights for the school zone. Recently we went by the school in the morning and they had a CROSSING GUARD for teenagers. I find this unbelievable that teenagers can not cross the street safely.

I work at an elementary school. You should see how some parents drive through the parking lot. Students have almost been hit by parents not driving safely. Or they'll be across the street and motion to their child to come to them, crossing in the middle of the street.

I had to take a cab to work the other morning. I said good morning to the driver as I got into the cab and didn't get a response. I tried again with a chipper "good morning" and a smile...still no response. The third time I said good morning, he roared like a lion, "GOOD MORNING!" and then rolled his eyes at me. Oh, no he DIDN'T! I promptly got OUT of the cab, smiled sweetly at him and said, " Sorry, I got rid of all the crab grasses and crab ASSES in my life a long time ago. Have a good day!" Man, oh man, if looks could kill......

I haye it when people don't know the difference between LOOSE and LOSE. You don't LOOSE something if you can't find it. It's LOSE! Whew! I feel better! I wouldn't want to LOSE my temper over the LOOSE use of words!

Amen! My problem is less with posts on the forums than it is with ebooks. Sometimes there are eleventy gazillion typos just in the book description - usually the self-pubs.

If I want to rant about rants going unchallenged, can I do that here?

And if I do, will I be challenged on it?

SNOW. Need I say more? I know that there are some people out there that really like the stuff, but I am with whoever it was that thinks snow is an unnecessary freezing of water! I am impossible to please, I guess, because I don't like the hot summer sun either. AUTUMN, give me autumn year around :)

I'm really [censored][deleted] of all the [deleted][censored] in [expletive][censored][deleted].

[expletive][deleted][expletive][censored] to actually [censored][redacted] and [expletive][expletive][censored]? i mean, c'mon, give [deleted] a [expletive][censored].

If [censored] one [censored][expletive][redacted] gave [expletive][redacted][deleted], then [expletive][expletive][expletive][censored][expletive]. And that, [censored][deleted], is [deleted][redacted][censored].

Whew. I've been wanting to get that off my chest for some time. Thanks for your understanding.
