Good grief! Aren't any of you people OLD? I don't even recognize 90% of your songs. Nobody liked Elvis? Well, let me try to make it to my hospital bed in the home and I'll just fade into the sunset. Goodbye world...........

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 4, 2012 12:12:40 PM PDT
I am not old. But I have some older songs on that list! :)~

As for your Elvis question, I will let Pulp Fiction answer
"My theory is that when it comes to important subjects, there are only two ways a person can answer. Which way they chose, tells you who that person is. For instance, there are only two kinds of people in the world, Beatles people and Elvis people. Now Beatles people can like Elvis and Elvis people can like the Beatles, but nobody likes them both equally. Somewhere you have to make a choice. And that choice, tells you who you are"

I do like some Elvis - but at the end of the day it's the Beatles ;)

I know what you mean Suze - when I fall in love with a song I almost never get tired of it. When Rolling In The Deep was so popular everyone else would change the channel when it came on. I never got tired of it.

I never even mentioned bluegrass but my all time favorite bluegrass song is Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show. I could listen to it over and over and over. Oh and lets not even mention Fire Lake by Bob Seger.

Charlie-bird, I can't argue with that. I'm definitely an Elvis person, but I do like the Beatles.

I just went back to last night's convo and realized I missed a great discussion on housecleaning. I'm not going to comment on myself of course, but my sil cleans with clean white towels. Her house is 'clean' when the towels stay as white at the end as before she starts. Now who could possibly look forward to her coming to spend the night? I love her, but.....

@B J Is there anything we can get you while you slip away? A peanut butter/banana sandwich, perhaps? You sil would not want to come to a house with animals and young boys would she? Maybe, take her glasses and blindfold her.

I think anything by Bob Seger is great, but favorite is Night Moves.
Trace Adkins You're Gonna Miss This (all you young moms, if you haven't heard it, look it up)
Rodney Adkins Farmer's Daughter
Brad Paisley I'm gonna miss Her, Waitin' on a Woman

Symphonic Power Metal is a genre. My two favs would have to be Nightwish and Amberian Dawn. Here's a song from each of them:

For Raci and anyone else collecting Kathryn Le Veque...
Fragments of Grace (Prequel to the Dragonblade Trilogy) Historical fiction
1291 A.D. - Keir St. Hever is a powerful garrison commander for Lord Coverdale on the border of the Cumbrian vales. Whilst attending battle, he receives word that his own castle is under attack. Keir returns to Pendragon Castle to discover that his wife and daughter have been murdered, and his young son is missing. So begins Keir's descent into hell and despair.
Three years later, Keir is still searching for his son as he is called upon to rescue the family of an ally whose castle is under siege. Once Keir fights his way inside, the damsel he is supposed to rescue does not believe he is there to assist her and a great battle ensues. But somewhere during that battle, Keir finds a strange and uncontrollable fascination with the Lady Chloe-Louise de Geld. When she's not trying to gouge his eyes out, he catches glimpses of a woman of magnificent red hair, porcelain skin, and delicate features. And so, the love story begins....
Chloe is a much sought after beauty, brilliant, sweet and feisty. She awakens within Keir long-dormant emotions, feelings he believed died when his family perished. He doesn't want to love Chloe but he cannot help himself. His attention should be on finding his missing son but he finds it diverted by a woman he is falling more deeply in love with by the day.
A vindictive and evil neighbor, however, who has wanted Chloe for his own, discovers St. Hever's interest and uses lies and manipulation to convince Keir that he has Keir's long-lost son. He proposes a trade - Chloe for the boy. Before Keir can make a decision, Chloe takes matters in to her own hands and the situation goes horribly awry.
Through death, battle, vengeful enemies and ghostly visitors, Keir and Chloe's love remains strong and unbreakable, and in the end Keir must once again wield his sword to save the woman he loves. With flashbacks of the family he was unable to save, will he be too late?
