Carolyn - Have you followed the advice given earlier in this thread to clear your cache and data? Have you rebooted your Kindle Fire?

I don't have a browser in my kindle fire and it does the same thing as mentioned above

Tracy - All Kindle Fires have the Silk web browser. That is how you surf the internet.

I am basically having the same problems, and have followed the above instructions up until it says clear cache. I'm not sure how to do that, each application individually? It won't let me even do that, the clear cache button isn't highlighted, help!

my screen went black while web browsing. picture has never come back. tried re-charging and cannot get it to come on at all! Looks like a must return problem!?!?!

Tinker-bella says:
First, make sure your Fire is fully charged.

Next, unplug the charger. Press and HOLD the power button in for a FULL 30 seconds (count them), disregarding any shut down message that may pop up.

After the 30 seconds, press the power button briefly to see if it powers back on. If you still are not getting the Fire to power on, use the following link to reach Kindle Customer Service. You will likely have to sign into your account, and then select any option that sounds remotely like your issue (it doesn't have to be exact).

I recommend the phone or chat option for real time assistance, NOT email.

T. Scott or Q, How do you get those apps? They are not in the Amazon appstore. just has a link to the Google playstore which the kindle is not compatible with. Have you actually done this on a kindle?

Do web page book marks go to the cloud? I accidentally deleted mine and was wondering if it's possible to her them back.

Not in the Silk browser. Sorry, I don't think there's any way to get them back.
