Rainshine... HAHA must be why Rainbow Beach is just north. Been going there for nearly 50 years. My mum soon learnt not to peg out washing on the camp ground lines, it rained almost everyday. After a while she just left us in our togs all day.

Donna - Once again we have an SEQ trough that wants to stay in one place for a couple of days - http://www.weatherzone.com.au/radar/

No walk for my Golden Retriever this morning and the towel is kept handy to dry her when after her toilet trips in the garden. Great day for reading but there won't be much natural light. The Sunshine Coast Airport has introduced new instrument landing patterns for Jetstar to help them to land in heavy rain. Will be interesting to see if there are many aborted landings today (we overlook the part of the flight path where the pilots take the decision whether they can land).

There will probably be lots of delays due to the weather Suncoast. It was like that when the weather was crappy here in Melbourne the other day. Actually you'd probably be amazed at the amount of delays that happen every with flights! Having to deal with flight movement sheets everyday has been interesting in seeing what kind of delays affect flights in and out of Melbourne every day...

That wouldn't amaze me, Loz. Delays always happen to my flights, at least domestic ones. The worst was coming home from Cairns from three separate holidays in a row (but not sequential years). Delays of over three hours each time. Last trip was OK though so maybe that jinx is finally broken. Mind you that was last year and we arrived in Cairns to find the temps the same as Sydney. 20C in September! I was not happy. It took a couple of days to warm up to the high 20's but never got quite as warm as previous years during the whole two weeks we were there.

Loz says:
The sheets I see are all domestic. Out of 19 flights for a particular airline yesterday only 6 were on time.

There are so many check-in errors you wonder how they manage to get anyone on board! Quite a few cabin baggage overloads and more crew lateness that I would have thought.

So basically, if you are flying domestically expect the departure or arrival to be late! :)

Sorry Suncoast, I've had a bit of catching up to do and hadn't gotten around to it! I've just sent the email/message through. :)

We do!

Does the name of that airline start with a Q or a J?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 26, 2012 6:07:44 PM PDT
Suncoast says:
Loz - thanks. Have sent a copy to you.

The first Jetstar into the Sunshine Coast Airport seems to have been diverted to Brisbane. Great business for charter buses to and from Brisbane.

Or a T?

Tui, I'm stoked that you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for the feedback.

Now where are those catwalk photos? :)

Loz says:
We don't deal with Q here only J, T and V. :)

The sheets I deal with are for J. But I hear all sorts of stuff, especially when the flight delay is our fault! :)

JJulieJ says:
The flight delay is your fault? Loz, how could you! ;-)

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 26, 2012 7:55:22 PM PDT
Loz says:
Not me personally! :)

Some of them are small delays - we got a notification of a 1 minute catering delay the other day. Everyone had a good laugh about that until we had a 35 minute catering delay the next day.

:)

I'm not totally sure but Woolworths may still have the Kindles at sale price. I just picked up the two they got in for me and was able to buy the covers at half price as well. So if you're after another Kindle it might be worth checking your local store, and if they don't have them in stock ask them to get one in for you.

I bought a Kindle 4 WiFi for $99 at Woolies Town Hall, Sydney this afternoon. They seemed to have lots. They had a keyboard model under the counter out of its box but I didn't enquire about it since I wanted the 4 but perhaps they have those cheaper refurb keyboard models too.

Has anyone north of the border seen any Kindles on special? I went to my local Big W this afternoon and found all Kindle models in stock and nary a special sign anywhere. Asked at the counter and no... nothing had been on special.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 27, 2012 4:12:40 AM PDT
JJulieJ says:
Must have been a NSW only special, Donna, or it may have only been in the supermarkets, not Big W or Dick Smith.
