Judester,
Thanks for the 1-Click, let me know what you think. I'm about to go on a revision rampage to streamline the first third-half of the book. Streamline is a polite word for slash/cut.

Writing, actually. Turkey? I just had a HAM sandwich.

If you were in a funk when you took the test, I would do it again later. I was surprised I wasn't a blue crayon. My life sucks right now, I could very easily have been brown or gray! It feels good to be purple. &:-ţ

I know what you mean about retaking the test. I am actually considering retaking when I'm not in a funk (its been a week, funeral and all). Maybe then I'd be a more colorful?

Hey Jude, I know the feeling! I was very busy today. I haven't had time to check Cookies book club either!

Sorry about the yellow crayon thing, Yellow is not a bad color. I refuse to do the test again, I like being a purple crayon! I may even change my hair color!

lol! Well, you could still tell everybody how awesome it is? I've only gotten a chance to read the preview Elita shared a couple of months back.

Thanks judester. No, I definitely don't mind. I'm sure that Andre will be happy to have his words of wisdom added to the collection. :-) That's an interesting thread I'll have to catch up on when I have some time. Thanks for pointing it out.

Great to hear, Cookie's, although 1:30 am? Not so great, I'm guessing?

Anyway, I posted a link to your blog on The Gerrold-Inspired Writing Thread. Hope that's okay. I haven't had time to catch up on this thread and that thread but David Gerrold is a favorite author of mine so the title caught my eye.

judester, I'm here! I'm here! Sorry, have been hiding from technology for about a week, but I'm back now. Had a nice visit with my sister and her family. Crazy airport fun last night after our plane was delayed two hours - didn't get home until about 1:30am! But all is well.

How have you all been???

I felt that way also, Zebras.

Noah, I work with Andre on a few editing projects and he is the first to correct my corrections of grammar in quotes. He would agree with you that there are places where incorrect use of language is appropriate to develop a character. I believe he was referring to writing that is outside of a character's or narrator's thoughts and quotations, but that's just my interpretation.

Yay, thanks Zebras, I will check it out!

The Jakarta Pandemic, The Shadow at the Gate are on my TBR list. Steve, I sampled The Jakarta Pandemic but loved your writing style so I ended up 1-clicking.

Cookie''s Mom ... All caught up on your blog. Nice BTW. Now where are you?

And Cindy ... I've been locked up in these stoopid covered wagons but finally busted free. Where did you go? :)

(didn't have time to do my hair)

At the risk of cross-thread-contamination, if you Jamie stalkers didn't know he started it, look for the Bud the Crud thread!
