Seems like I need me another one lol...I like the idea of keeping one beside the bed and one in the handbag....I take it though you would need to be obviously reading two different only bugbear :(

ah, but I am reading multiple books

bedside: either the Complete Mark Twain or a Brief History of Time (excellent for putting oneself to sleep)
main house: rereading Game of Thrones
travel/commute: latest greatest books

As long as you don't mind keeping wireless on, or remembering to turn it on to sync when you start and finish reading, you can read one book on multiple Kindles and apps. If I've understood the question ;)

I just leave wireless turned on most of the time; I have to plug my phone in every night anyway, so it's not hard for me to remember
to charge my Kindles.

Carmen, I started with K2i, bought the very first day it was available internationally. Seeing the difference in screen quality introduce with Pearl screen on K3 on my coworker's device, I could not resist buying a WiFi K3/KK (second hand, obtained locally). Now, realizing that more recent 3G Kindles don't allow general browsing over 3G, I am looking for a reasonably priced used 3G KK (shipping, VAT and other fees we pay on new Kindles in Croatia are rather high, so it's best to find an unwanted device, usually from a kid who got it as a present thinking it was a tablet). I am skipping Touch, but might buy e-ink Kindle with frontlighting, if it indeed appears as it seems it could.

I also have K4PC on all three computers I use regularly and one on a cheap (and disappointing) Huawei Android tablet and on HTC phone. I used Cloud Reader several times, as a guest on other computers.

My old K2i is spare, most of the time tucked in car glove compartment (its 3G sometimes comes handy). If and when I buy yet another e-ink Kindle, I will probably give away the WiFi-only KK.

There is no such thing as too many Kindles :o)

it hust doesn't have a rip-roaring plot line that keeps one on the edge of one's seat - and I need something interesting, but not a page-turner to read then and note that I ranked it with the complete Mark Twain collection, so I value it

I am enjoying reading it in small doese

In the why-more-than 1 Kindle comments, so far no one has mentioned having both an eink Kindle and a Fire. So I will. An eink for general reading, including outdoors. A Fire for games, videos, and portable websurfing ( and reading too, especially fanfiction on the web.)

I have that too . . . I wouldn't be without my eink Kindle. My Fire is more for "playing". And in my account, I have 3 eink Kindles, 1 Fire, 2 K4PC, and 3 apps registered (4 people).

I have 2 Kindles and one app on my Android tablet. I like to study the Bible daily and it sure is nice to have more than one device for this. I have a Bible open on one, a commentary on another and Bible reference on the third.

That's exactly what I use mine for. In addition, I have the PC apps on both my computers. :)
