I've got your back Zeebs. Black and white? Or would the Zebra like to change her stripes? We'll have to see what alien vegetation grows outside the shelter. How do you feel about irridescent blue?

Zebras says:
I think iridescent blue would set of my eyes nicely.

Hey everybody!

two big thumbs up for Sucker Punch! Go and watch it! It's got both amazing fantasy action AND will leave you with plenty of deeper themes to ponder...

I just scanned the last few pages. Here are some random replies:

Silver Tooth!?!? I have amazing natural teeth! And the only time a hammer comes near my head is when I get my bi-weekly lobotomy!

I think some people are imagining a MUCH bigger shelter than, well at least bigger than the one I gave the characters in my book!

Sewing!??!?!? So, it's true! This has finally turned into a sewing circle....

Cindy says:
Noah, that's why I abscounded with the covered trailers. Since the shelter was so small I thought they could be used as storage for our necessary items. LOL

Short story: Everyone laughed when I packed a sewing machine to take to Desert Storm. Until their clothes started coming apart at the seams from the harsh detergents and temps over there. I can still picture guys sitting at my sewing machine, tongue firmly planted in corner of their mouth, sewing their boxers back together and trying to keep their fingers out from under the needle. You see, I took the machine and they were welcome to use it but I wasn't gonna be the First Sergeant and the seamstress.

Cindy says:
Oh drat, you mean they didn't pack that Pizza oven. Nephew swore he snagged that and the popcorn machine out of the mess hall after he emptied the arms room. Did you check all the covered wagons? There's 12 of them out there. LOL

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 26, 2011 5:53:50 AM PDT
Great story, Cindy! Sewing is a very useful survival skill. This is one reason why I'm bringing my sister along to the shelter. She can sew, I can't. I can knit, she can't. It's a win-win.

Hey, is there a password or an entrance fee to get in here? I have a few friends who might vouch for me
