I click on Menu then select Experimental. Sometimes it works ok and sometimes it doesn't.

So, anybody know when we are going to be able to get library books for the Kindle? Or real page numbers? I am super excited on both counts there! lol

In reply to an earlier post on May 11, 2011 7:51:50 PM PDT
We actually have page numbers.

BookFanatic says:
Really? None of my books on the Kindle has page numbers and I cant update to get them either.... help? lol

In reply to an earlier post on May 11, 2011 8:06:29 PM PDT
All books don't have page numbering. You can check whether a book does or not when you look at it's listing on Amazon. If a book has page numbering, you can check it, and the location info, by clicking on the menu key. If it doesn't have page numbering, you will only see the location info when you press the menu key.

I figured it out! Thanks!

Page numbers are only available on the K3 and you must be at the 3.1 version of the software.

Amazon has said the library lending will be available "this year". That could be anywhere from now until December 31st.

This is a great idea. I can't tell you how many books I've loaned out and didn't get them back. Two weeks is plenty of time for a person to read a book.

I think that this is a great idea. I have bought a kindle for my daughter and would love to be able to buy her a book and send it straight to her kindle. Bring it on Amazon. I love you even though I live way over here in New Zealand. I bought my first kindle before they were exported to NZ by sending it to my sister in Australia and she sent it on to me. I LOVE it.I have converted several friends.
