Am going thru some of the issues you mention; but since you have so many tags, can you point me to the place where they give a full set of instructions about them? I do not 'get' how to begin them.

PS - was browsing thru some forums and failed to notice the date, so if all the issues regarding tags has already been done, just point me that way.

Mame-
How do I remove an item from my Kindle Fire carousel on the Home screen?

If your Kindle Fire has the latest software version available, you can remove an item from your carousel by tapping and holding on the item, then selecting Remove from Carousel.

You can learn how to check what software version is on your Kindle Fire and how to update to the latest software version available by visiting our help pages at http://www.amazon.com/kindlesoftwareupdates

This was copied from the help pages for the Fire found http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=help_search_1-2?ie=UTF8&nodeId=200711000&qid=1338825850&sr=1-2

I have purchased several books that don't show up at all even though they've supposedly downloaded. Does anyone know what
I'm supposed to do next? Do I have to delete the books I've read first?

If you don't see the remove from device option then it is not on your device but is in your cloud(kindle fire)..if you go to manage your device through amazaon, you can delete the book from your cloud. if you long hold on the item in carousel you can choose to remove it from there

Robyn Greiwe says:
This process only deletes the content in the book, but the actual picture on the cover of the book and title are still on the book list. How do you get rid of the total book, cover and all from your kindle????

I don't know if you found out how to delete things from the carousel, but I just did. Once you remove the item from the device you can then click and hold on the item until you get the pop up which allows you to delete the item from the carousel.

Rita Book says:
when you hold down on the book cover, it should give you a pop giving you 2 options 1) remove from device 2) remove from carousel. I usually select remove from device first (which puts it back in your cloud-which will then show the little arrow at the bottom-which means you will need to re-load it to read again) then I will hold down on the book cover again and select remove from carousel. Hope this helps

I have a different problem. I have two kindles in my account, mine and my daughters. Everything I download gets put on her kindle fire. How can I just delete the book from her kindle fire and not mine?
I've looked threw the help section and can not find any answers on this. Thanks!

Kerry thank you so much for this help. I had ordered a book which was a mystery, read the review and didn't know it was one I wouldn't want. It was just plain raunchy, filthy and not the kind of stuff I read. Sure glad to delete that one.
Appreciating your help.

Go to your book case and touch the book you want to remove, it will come up with a couple of options and then choose the remove from device option. If this doesn't work you will have to go into your cloud and down load the book first then go and remove it. this was the only way I could do it.

When I deleted a book from my amazon account, then selected the deleted book inn the carousel (holding down for a moment or two) a screen came up that said "delete from carousel" which I chose and the book cover was deleted from my carousel. Give that a try. hope it helps.

I have not been successful in removing books from my KF. They remove from carousel and that's it. If anyone comes up with the answer, let us all know

I have done what you suggested but the unwanted titles still stay in the cloud. Can I remove from the cloud as well?

Hi all, is there a way to see what items I have deleted from the Kindle? Too late, I realized some deletes are permanent. Or, are they really permanent??? I recently deleted one of my first downloads which at that time (December/2011) was free, perhaps during the Prime 30 day free trial. Now, it is $9.95. But, can I even confirm I deleted it for good? No way to redownload???

Beverly, did you ever find the trash? I, too, am looking for something I THINK I've deleted!

Go to Amazon, click. "Manage your Kindle" and delete it from there.
