Welcome back KK/BB!!!

I got the impression from his post near the beginning of this thread that that bozo watches for threads whose count is almost to 10,000 then jumps in and finishes them off.

KK, quit changing your name! I'm getting confused! Lol.

We gave my Grammo her K3 today. My younger son was the UPS guy for Halloween so it worked out as most of us were together for a Halloween party tonight. She was so excited and happy. We gave her a crash course and she's already into her first book. So we had Christmas in October.

Glad to be back! And oh, Ecuador. I'm afraid that due a scheduling conflict I had to take it over via mail. Ya know, via false treaties, forged deeds and and an impatient attitude accompanied by fancy lookin' quasi-offical seals on stuff.

Sorry, I was really lookin' forward to the adventure. But, no worries, I'll thinka somewheres else.

He personified his name - especially when we were told, rather rudely I thought after what he did, to not talk about him.

Hi Everyone,
I was catching up on all the posts now that I am back home and noticed that while I was posting last night (in the car, in the dark, on my 'Droid) that there are a couple of things...
First, there were "scads" of people, not "scars". The 'Droid auto-corrects.

Second, and really the reason I was attempting to post while riding on a bumpy road...As we came into Washington, we drove very close to the Pentagon. I don't think I have ever been that close as we usually don't come into DC on that highway. What popped into my head was...Dog was here. This stayed with me as we drove through Washington, the monuments, the people. It gave me a very peaceful feeling to be in the city he loved, and although I am NOT a city person (hate the crowds, traffic and the noise) I saw the beauty of that special place. My BF's daughter has lived there for the past 3 years while she has been in school, and is now deciding on a career path that will keep her there for good. She loves the place, and I understand why.

Happy Halloween pound puppies! I just wanted to let you know that I may be conspicuously absent this month due to NaNoWriMo. That's the plan anyway. Not sure I can stay away, even though I'll be trying. We'll see! Wish me luck!

"...absent this month due to NaNoWriMo."

So sorry, is that a tropical disease?

Blue Goddess says:
Sorry, I thought I had mentioned it before. NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. You attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. That's something like 1300 words a day. So I will need any spare time I can get to reach my daily quota. Of course, if I get writer's block, I will stop in to see if you guys can shake me up a lil! :)

Oh, that's cool--good luck!

No need for awe yet! We have to see if I actually succeed, or poop out mid-month! I'm using "Do It For dog" as my inspiration, so hopefully I won't fail him

Sounds like an awesome time for budding novelists. Also sounds like an editor's nightmare starting in Dec as those manuscripts get submitted. ;)

Good luck Blue Goddess

Just checked in with my Grammo. She's 68% of the way through her first book on the Kindle. She even turned off Antiques Roadshow to read. All I can say is.. Wow!

Hey, BB - could you please re-post that beautiful closing argument from prosecutor George Graham Vest for everyone in the dog pound II?
