You might want to consider the value of punctuation in your posts.

This is stupid that it takes this much effort to remove an app. Come on Amazon wake up and fix the bugs in your new toy!

bethann4j, items in your Cloud do not take up any of your user space. Your storage for Amazon items is unlimited.

On my lPad I tried to delete a book from the Kindle app. Was told to go to manage my kindle. And delete it from there. Nothing else has work. Now I have a loading icon on the page that has been spinning for hours, can't get rid of it.

It's not a "bug;" it's a feature. By enabling a user to delete an app (or other content) from the device but retain it in the cloud one can avoid accidental permanent deletions of content, especially if an account is shared among multiple devices.

Consider, for example, what happens when a user deletes content from the cloud from one device while another user in the same family is using/reading that content. What should happen? Delete without warning? Delete but only with confirmation from the user? Block the deletion? What should Amazon do if the user makes a mistake? Restore the app/book free of charge? How many person hours of support should Amazon devote to managing this problem?

It's not unusual for users to consider their immediate problem without considering the implications of a "fix" to that problem. This is definitely one of those cases.

In fact, it does "serve a purpose." It generates revenue for virtually every manufacturer of tablets and phones that strikes such deals. And that includes almost every manufacturer.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 3:50:34 PM PDT
That probably means it is one of the built-in apps. Which one are you trying to remove?

C.C. - so exactly why did you think Amazon was in business?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 23, 2012 6:23:54 AM PDT
First you have to go to the terms of use in the settings under more settings after you log onto it go to my account then go to manage your apps then the ones you want you don't have to do anything for but the ones that you do not. Want click actions on the side and then click delete app then when you are done deleting the apps you no longer want click close to exit and go Back to the menu and click kn the apps category and yes your apps will still be there but now u just have to uninstall the ones you deleted a few seconds ago.

I understand where your coming from. But the cloud is mist showing you all your deleted and activated apps. As for the device only shows activated. Sorry if that didn't help but I tried to answer your question to he best of my answers.

I don't understand this kindle. What's the point of having a different section. ? Like I mean between
device and cloud. If when you delete them from the device and they just show op in cloud.
like anyone have an answer or comment to this?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 28, 2012 12:46:43 PM PDT
kiereten - you really should read your owner's manual, where all this is explained. The Cloud hold books, apps, etc. that are NOT stored on the Kindle, but are available to be downloaded to the Kindle. They show up in the cloud when you delete them from the device because Amazon is storing them for you so they don't take up room on the Kindle.
