As long as you don't kill your own grandfather you're cool.

That's it - I'm out. I asked politely that you all stop the French crap. See ya.

Ooh, good coffee. Thanks Steve. I'm all for open borders. But I'm not tipping Esmerelda for services I have not used.

What do you have against the French? Inquiring minds want to know.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 11, 2012 7:11:49 AM PDT
I have nothing against the French people or nation at all. However, I do not speak nor read the language and do not wish to use a translator to try to keep up with an idiotic thread. Ergo, I will not be participating in any thread where people insist on posting in a language that I cannot understand.

While our economy needs immigrants, we don't need trackers. We have successfully rid ourselves of that bebette.

Because it is all about you.

I was afraid we'd go there with the French posting. Quit it Esme, or it's walking the plank for ye.

Posted on Sep 11, 2012 7:18:53 AM PDT
I translated for you. I wonder if the tracker will get the translations, even tho he/she is no longer tracking the thread.

No idea. I just skipped them all. We do, however now look extremely pretentious.

Ok, duly noted.

It's very difficult to look pretentious while speaking the Cajun.

No, but there is something truly obnoxious about non-French speakers carrying on in French. Not sure what it is, but I know it when I see it.
;-)

(There is another place I visit where a few will occasionally switch to French--on an English speaking site--& refuse to stop when asked. Maybe that's why it annoys me so much. It's like when you get Chinese food and you just know they are all talking about you.)

I thought the overall strategy for speakin' Francaise (That's French for French, Piddy) and Piratese, was to rid these new threads of lurkers, maroons and twatwaffles. It was almost successful. Almost because I see Muffin Skidbubble is still posting here.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 11, 2012 8:04:31 AM PDT
Willow3X3 says:
Heh, I have no idea what the strategy was because I too busy being annoyed. :p

And I thought Skidbubble skedaddled?

I just skip posts in other languages. Unless they are written in CoBOL. Those I'd read.

I don't know how seriously we should take it...could be Muffin's just practicing his flounce.

Sorry about the French, Piddy. I think I'll still keep the new handle for a while--it's roughly 'Blackened Catfish.' I suspect real French would require the adjective to follow the noun, but this maintains the CB initials, by which I am referred in the rare reply off the snark threads.

I am also sorry about horning in on your -vangelist territory. I spent too much time yesterday reading Wiki entries trying to remember which egomaniac told his followers the big G had kidnapped him.

It's not mean. It's not exactly intuitive either.

/snark off

This is a sad day, I'm not going to lie. But I do feel like this is the first year that it doesn't feel raw. I just hope the government gets off their butts and gets the 1st responders and pile workers the real healthcare they need. My brother only worked the pile for one day and even he has breathing problems from it.

/snark on.
