There is an NPR show called Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. They typically give the call-in guest three answers to chose from all that sound very improbable. Today (a repeat) was for patents approved. One of the correct answers was for a flamethrower to be used as protection in the car. It was filed in SA.

I just had a nice long visit with my great-niece (3 months old), her mother and her grandma (not my sister but her maternal grandma). Baby is darling, very sweet and already smiling and cooing. Chuck played baby and fell asleep in my lap as we chatted.

Chuck is in my lap now, he said he was tired.

Especially when you are competing with an adorable person baby! Plus he can't figure out what to do if my mother and I are in different rooms cleaning. He doesn't want me to leave his sight. He doesn't even like for someone to hold him outside while I walk to the car. NO!!! MOMMY!!!!

It is a picture of the Thought for the Day

"I don't mind coming to work, but this 8 hour wait to go home is bullhockey." (only they say another word)

Chuck's day:

Paper shredders are evil and should be barked at.
Every tree in the yard must be watered...and there are a lot of trees here.
It's hard to nap when mommy will not sit still.

So which one is Rick's real voice? The deep, semi-southern accent from the show, the higher pitched, east coast accent from The Talking Dead, or the London theater accent?

Anyone got a pool going on how many new threads will be made in the next 24 hours about the DOJ settlement on ebook prices?

I'm loving Scarlet Pimpernel, too.

I remember when my nieces and nephews were little. They were so much fun to play with.

How old are your nieces?

Josue says:
one is six and the younger one is almost two :-)

He's from England. I've been a fan ever since I saw him in Love, Actually...

I Imdb'ed him. He was born in London and his mum is from South Africa. His real last name is Clutterbuck - seriously.

This afternoon I saw my great-niece. She is 3 and half months old. If she is awake she wants to be sitting up so she can see everything. She is a doll. Just smiles and everything. Very happy and healthy baby.

babies are so cute, i love it when you can see their curiosity and want to see everything but once they start walking and want to touch and climb everything can be exhausting

Are we doing the Pmpernel in GR? I read that book years ago...I also saw the mini series with Jane Seymor and Anthony Andrews...

I know. In the Walking Dead Forum I hang out in, we have a thread called Rick "Foolhardy Clutterbuck" Grimes. ;-)

One of my favorite threads over there is titled:
Best Quotes - "Can't nobody kill Merle but Merle."

What are the odds of Carl turning into a walker?

I hope good. I can't stand that creepy little kid in the big hat. He never behaves and no one ever watches him.

The one I want to get bit is Lori. She's pretty much universally hated. Today, I've found myself cussing at her often.
