How do you read your kindle fire outdoors in the bright sunlight?

People answered you in your other thread.

Get a Eink Kindle like the Paperwhtie.

The Fires are LCD screens and cannot be easily read outdoors, it is just like every other LCD device on the market.

Sit in the shade.

Think of your television or computer screen. Ever had problems seeing it because the sun was shining through your window? And the only thing you could do was pull the shades down or close the blinds (create shade)? The Fire's screen is the exact same technology.

You don't.

I don't. I use my Kindle Keyboard.

If you get an e-ink Kindle (Paperwhite, Touch, Keyboard, etc), you can synch your books from the Fire to that, and take the Paperwhite out into the sunlight to read. That's one of the huge benefits of the e-ink screens.

I bought basic Kindles for outside reading. As others have said, it is very difficult to read outside in sunlight with a KF...but they are so nice indoors!!!

I read outside, but stay out of direct sunlight. Just turn up the brightness and you can read just fine. Of course, doing that impacts battery life considerably.
