Hi, does anybody know how to add a free e-book (mobi format) in other language to my new Acer Iconia W511 tablet under Windows 8? I tried to place it in My Documents folder but when opening Kindle application it is not visible. I have only 2 options on tablet: My books-on Device but it is not there, the second option is Kindle store. Meanwhile I can read it same book on my Kindle paper white just by pasting it in Document folder and it appears instantly. Thanks DP

Have you tried emailing the e-book to your Kindle email address? It will then show up in your app for downloading.

A. Dietz says:
vjvl51, that's not going to work because the Kindle for PC/Mac and Kindle for Windows 8 don't have @kindle.com e-mail addresses and can't access personal documents added to your account through that service.

I forgot about that. Thanks.

And what is the reason for that?

Only Amazon knows why they do or do not program something in.

I rarely use the apps so I apologize for suggesting something that wouldn't work.
