Mary Ellison says:
The Kindle other than the Fire is not really geard up to do good searches of the Web. That said, a limited capability is available in theK2 and K3 models. If the Touch has a experimental browser similar to what is available in those earlier models, a general web search is possible. You bewt bet, however, would be to setup a generl search through Wikipedia.

On the Kindle Touch, you can only access Wikipedia and the Kindle store via on the web via 3G. For general web access, you need to be connected to WiFi.

This is from the product description:

"WebKit-Based Browser
Kindle Touch 3G's experimental web browser is based on WebKit. It's easy to find the information you're looking for right from your Kindle Touch 3G. Kindle Touch 3G enables you to connect to the Kindle Store and access Wikipedia - all over 3G or Wi-Fi. Experimental web browsing on other websites is only available over Wi-Fi."
