Kindle Fire, Full Color 7" Multi-touch Display, Wi-Fi

My son started to download a couple of games, they would not download. He got a couple of free ones loaded and about 30 minutes later it just turned completely off. We tried charging it, the orange light would not come on. I put it charging in the truck, that did not work either. When you hold the power button, the green light comes on for about 2 seconds then goes right back off. It does nothing at all.

A. Blair says:
Try re-boot....holding the power button down for at least 20 seconds (to be safe, go for 30 seconds). Release it, then press it again once.

Mine did this and was off for about 9 hours. I didn't know about pressing the button for 30 seconds or would have tried it.

Yup, I thought "great, I got a lemon" and just about had my jacket on to take it back to Best Buy. This is the way to fix it.

Dang it, didn't work for me. I hope Walmart will take it back.

Just worked for mine too, holding the button down for 20 (+) seconds and then turned it on. Perfect. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I was in tears at the thought that my less-than-a-year-old Kindle Fire was dead. I could find nothing on the website under Support. What a huge relief!
