Is there a comments/discussion area for that title? Maybe ask there. Or ask CS why it won't stick.

What's the title?

Okay. If you go to the product page, and scroll all the way down, there's a button that says Start A Discussion. If you click that, you can make a generalized APB asking, "Why will my review not stay up for this product?" and see what others say.

Frankly, I'm curious as to why it matters to you so much. If my review bounced, 1) I wouldn't KNOW, because who goes back and LOOKS, once they're done, and 2) If I did notice, I'd say, "Well, whatever," and go heat up some taquitos.

But, I suppose everyone needs a hobby.

Well, all the reviews so far look like friends of the author trying to pass themselves off as casual reviewers. Maybe Amazon has realized how much sock puppet action is going on and is trying to put a stop to it. The fact that you've " talked to several other people who have read the book" makes me think I might be right. A self-published author doesn't usually have a network of fans just 11 days after publishing his first book...

Interesting how every reviewer's name is an initial with a last name.

One of the reviewers reviewed a nursing book. The mom of the character in the book is seen reading a nursing book in the 3rd paragraph of the book.

This reviewer has RN as part of her user name.

The author's mom is a nurse I'll bet. It's just a hunch.

Seems Robby is a nurse as well.

Let's move it along, folks. Nothing to smell here.

The author says "I was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on a hot July day". Is there any other kind of July day in Mississippi?

I think it is interesting when the dots can be connected so easily. A seemingly innocent post, and just a few posts later, it's all clear.

What do you get besides the free review copy, like ten cents in store credit?

Oh, there's a reason the OP didn't give up the title until specifically asked.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 24, 2013 4:29:47 PM PDT
You know what's sad is that someone may actually have a legitimate question, but spamrolls engender suspicion.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 24, 2013 4:40:53 PM PDT
Well, had Amazon not already red-flagged this, the question wouldn't have needed to be asked. Without even knowing the title or looking at other reviews, though, the OP's last sentence makes it nearly impossible to believe there's not a stinky sock upwind somewhere.

ROFL..... and your other review was a book that helped you finish a book report? That you just posted the other day. UH..... ROFL> yup sure.

It struck me as odd that Amazon would pull a review down so quickly unless the reviewer had *strong* ties to the author. Using the same IP address, for example. And to have had this happen more than once? *And* the OP's had some contact with other reviewers? Smells like dirty socks to me.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 24, 2013 5:05:09 PM PDT
I know. I mean, seriously?

"No one's reviews will stay up for this book."

The chances of the OP having no connection to the author at all, other than the book, are vanishingly small. Infinitesimal.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 24, 2013 5:16:21 PM PDT
Seriously? You have no connection to the author *at all*, but Amazon is deleting your reviews? And you somehow know other reviewers who have also had reviews taken down?

I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 24, 2013 5:21:34 PM PDT
Sweetie, reviews aren't for authors; good, bad or indifferent. Way to stink up the joint.

Posted on Jun 24, 2013 5:25:22 PM PDT
There are 4 reviews on this book...for 3.. of there reviewer's this was the only book they have reviewed. 1 of the reviewer has reviewed 2 books by this author and a nursing book.
to be fair 1 of the reviewer reviewed 2 products but again this was their only book.
Me thinks Robby got caught and that is why "he, she, it" was so quick to delete their original posting plus the one that mentioned the books name.
If my writing was so bad I had to find friends or pay someone to review it I would be embarassed too.
(I know my "writing" is bad but I'm not asking for anyone to pay for the pleasure to read my mess"

I'm curious - how did you find this new author? Are you a friend/spouse/family member of the author? Maybe a review circle?

Reviews on brand-new books released by first-time authors are highly suspicious to me. Highly suspicious.

I could be 100% wrong, but I doubt it. I'm quite sure you're not a RandomReader(TM) who just stumbled on this brand new book. Not if Amazon removed more than one (!!!) review in short order.
