When I download files from the Internet with Kindle Fire the file can only be opened by selecting WEB then MENU then DOWNLOADS then you will see a list of everything you have downloaded.from the web. I can click on a file and view it but I can not move it into my library or personal docs. Why is this? Is there a way with files from the web. It would be nice to be able to renamed and move or save these files where you want. I really need them to show up in my carasel. I would appreciate any advice on how to do this. I am not real comfortable with how Amazon Silk browser works. Many things seem awkward.

What kind of files are you talking about? If you are downloading books (non-drm-protected mobi files), use a file manager app like Astro or ES File explorer to move them to your Documents or Books folder (the location does not determine whether they show up under Docs or Books). Then for the trick - you have to REBOOT the Fire (shut down by holding the power button down until the question comes up about shutting down, click shut down, and power back on) for them to show up under Docs or Books.

If you want to control whether they show up under docs or books, google calibre and "[pdoc]".

There are games for the Fire.

Do you have a specific question? If so, you should probably ask it.

After downloading video-converter-ultimate.exe to my kindle fire, I tried to open it. But every time I make the attempt, I receive a message that the file cannot be opened. What am I doing wrong?

@Bernie: I think that is a Windows program, according to their website? Are you sure that you downloaded an Android app? if it is a Windows program, then it can't possibly run on a Fire.

Mobo player works all the it on play store for free. No need to convert files.

Patricia Perez: if I get the app mono player than it won't matter if it is a Windows program or android?

You can email yourself documents and other ebooks. You have a personal "Kindle email address" (which you can change based on availability). I always have things like this added to Adobe Flash which should be on your Kindle already.
