I purchased a 2nd Kindle fire for our family and it is already out of storage. I just registered it today as it was a Christmas present. Is something wrong with it or does it automatically have everything on it our other Kindle does?? If so, how can I change that??

A., a Kindle does not download things from the account unless instructed to do so.

Things could have been ordered for it on your account before you opened it, though.

Something could be wrong with it, and in that case, you might want to contact Kindle Support

When you say it is out of storage, where are you seeing that?

anytime I try to connect to wifi it pops up, or anytime I do anything else...it says "Your Kindle is out of storage. In order to continue to download or copy content to your Kindle, please remove some apps or content files. Wi-Fi operation and USB file transfer is disabled until there is storage space available"

Wow, I've never heard of that one...and I've heard quite a few things. :) I'd contact Kindle Support as above. My guess is that it can't read the storage for some reason.

Have you tried restarting it? Hold the power button in for a full thirty seconds.

If you can use, and since you haven't done anything with it, you may want to do a factory reset, which will wipe everything personal off it (you'd need to register it again and connect it to wi-fi again).

Swipe down - More - Device - Reset to Factory Defaults

Again, that's a radical solution, and you may want to check with Kindle Support first.
