I ordered a widget for $20.13, and then it was reduced in price to $20.12. I called Amazon to complain and they said that I would have to return the item at my expense and then re-order it! Losers!!!!!!! Class-action lawsuit!!!!! :-) for anyone whose humor-detector is not working on Friday the 13th...

you forgot to say that your call cost 13 USD to complain about a one cent difference

I saw a review of Amazon ruining Christmas.

I really liked the post on the General Help Forum by the woman who said "Amazon didn't wrap the Kindle in an outside box. I answered the door and saw the Kindle my husband ordered for my Christmas present. I told him to send it back since I saw it early."

My entire family uses the same Amazon account, so they all know the login name and password, even my kids. Last week I bought them all Christmas presents, and they were ABLE TO SEE all of my purchases. Now, Christmas is ruined for everyone since they know what they're getting. Even though the kids are too young to understand how to check the order page, when they go to the page for the toys that they've been bugging me about for months, it says "you purchased this item on December 7, 2013." WTF WTH? It's ruined, I tell you, it's ruined for us all. Thanks, Damazon!!!!!!!11!!!

Edited for missing word. Damazon!!!!

I can't wrap my head around her logic.

I've accidently found a few presents in advance in my life. I still loved the gift.

Amazon ruined MY Christmas by allowing me to shop from home and have packages delivered. The nerve of them! I want to go slogging around in the dirty snow, pick through what's left of gifts and battle traffic! Thoroughly ruined the Christmas experience! Damazon! :)

no logic, just...what? rant? foolishness? childish?

If you think that is bad, check this out; in the General Help forum a few days ago, somebody whined that since there were no really hard cases for her new HDX (like the Otterbox Defender or some other brands I don't remember), that Amazon was guilty of bait and switch and had no business selling the HDX at all.

YOU ruined MY Christmas!

My dogs saw me looking at the item YOU posted and, now, they are ticked off. That is for a small dog and mine are huge. They think I'm bringing in another critter.

How DARE you!

DL

(For those who don't understand, this as well as the entire thread is a JOKE. Got it?)

Well, they're of a certain age. That doesn't make them adults.

There was another post, I think the same day, where a man said if he had known that there were no "kid proof, bomb proof" covers for the 8.9, he would have bought an I-pad. I asked him for a link to these bomb proof cover marvels, and he gave me links to m-edge and iblason covers (on the manufacturers' web sites) that were like thick bumpers with no screen protection. I pointed out to him that since the manufacturers themselves weren't yet offering those covers for the 8.9 (but were offering them for the 7" HDX), Amazon couldn't possibly be selling them, could they? I suggested he contact the manufacturers and ask when they would be offering them for the 8.9. I would be willing to bet that instead he returned his Fire and bought an ipad.

Kessa, click the Help link at the top of this page, then on the right hand side, above the Contact Us button, click on General Forum. I never leave there without shaking my head at the lack of common sense of some people.
