My(actually purchased for my mother) Kindle Fire which is only a couple of months old is flashing on and off at its main web screen. I tried a reset (hold the power button down for 20 seconds), but this did not work. Any advice or suggestions? And if I need to deal with the Warrenty, I am open to any advice there as well. Thank you in advance for anyone with helpful advice.

Jonathan - You may benefit from resetting your browser:
* Go to your HOME page
* Gear Wheel (upper right) > More... > Applications
* Set upper drop-down filter menu to "All Applications"
* Swipe down to "Browser" (an Amazon symbol next to it)
* Under "Storage", "Clear Data"

Nothing will be lost or harmed by doing this, though you will lose your browser bookmarks.

TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Click on this link and fill in the information. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/kindle-help.html/?nodeId=200127470
You may have to sign in. I would recommend you use the PHONE or CHAT options instead of e-Mail.
CALL ME under the PHONE tab is great if available.
They will call you within minutes.

Thank you. I tried 'Clear Data' under 'Storage', but still get the flashing. I plan to contact customer service via the telephone. I really do appreciate the help and if you have anything else. I am open to hear about it.

Jonathan, you may also want to try resetting the browser...I've had people tell me they had success with that with a number of problems:

Web - Menu (horizontal lines in a box) - Settings, go all the way down to the bottom and choose

Reset to default

That should set the browser back to the way it started...if the browser is the problem, that may resolve it.

I tried this and unfortunately it did not solve the problem. Thanks for attempt, I really do appreciate it. If you have anything else, I am open. I imagine I will get customer service involved in the next couple of days.

I was walked throut the solution with a very helpful customer service rep. I ended up reseting the tablet to the original factory settings. I wrote the steps down afterwards. I am pretty sure this is what I did for my original kindle fire:

Power off Kindle Fire.
Power on it.
Press power button until light turn orange.
TWRP 2.0 Recovery will be loaded then.
Select Wipe.
Select Cache then Wipe cache.
Select Dalvik Cache then Wipe dalvik-cache.
Select Factory Reset then Factory Reset.
Go back to Home.
Select Install this time.
Then select update.zip.
Select Flash after that.
After installed, select Reboot System.
That's all.
