I have physical therapy in the morning so I won't be in to check on the thread until 9:00am or so.

I'm looking forward to Suze's Friday Question. She is so good at coming up with the most interesting questions.

Leo, if your lurking I want you to know that I picked up Monday since you haven't been well and just got home from the hospital. If by some chance you want to take Monday's start I have no problem giving it over to you. Just say the word. We all just hope that you have the opportunity to recover quickly and completely so that you can get back to all of the things you enjoy doing. ♥

Thank you Sally. ;) I am looking forward to getting through PT tomorrow morning so that I will have 2 days rest before returning.

It's good to have you back posting. I hope you have a good weekend if I don't see you again until Sunday. Are the grandchildren playing sports this weekend?

Crockpot Candy ~ To keep from eating it all, give as gifts!

32 oz dry roasted peanuts (I think I'm going to try almonds!)
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
4 oz German sweet chocolate
32 oz white chocolate candy melts

Place ingredients in a crockpot as listed. Do not stir. Cook on low for 1 1/2 -2 hours - do not open the lid! After cooked, stir and drop by spoonfuls on a parchment paper or silpat lined pan. Allow to harden and store in a closed container...THESE ARE ADDICTIVE..

THREE WISHES will be FREE today, Dec. 13th, until 12 NOON Pacific/3pm Eastern ONLY!
Three Wishes (a romantic comedy)
I have read this one.. It's not a deep heavy read.. It's magical, a little corny, and as the
product page says. Careful what you wish for..
Some of the reviews have described the book as "Disney's "Aladin","
but come on, the cover has a magic lamp on it, It's title is Three Wishes,
What would you expect. I enjoyed it..

So, elizabeth, wendy, did you all Know my mother?.....just a moment, i'm having flashbacks and must clean my room before she finds out where all the plates went (shaking off healthy dose of parental induced fear)

Ahhhh...better. good morning, glad to hear you are on the mend, leo
Sally, your interpreter was interesting but we in the states were more interested in red's flirtaceous prime minister taking selfies with the two best looking men at the ceremonies...one would be our President

Off to work, i have plenty of cookies, but have 3 last recipes to try..or 4, delivery starts on Wednesday, we will see how many get made before i hit the enough button

╰♥╮¤°.¸¸.·´¯`» FRIDAY QUESTION «´¯`·.¸¸.°¤╰♥╮

We are approaching the darkest day of the year next week ( for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere). It's also very cold for many of us.

Most evenings now I use candlelight to brighten and warm the room I'm in. I have candles around my bathtub and soaking in a hot bath by candlelight is so relaxing it's why you never see me on the thread past 9:30pm because I'm fast asleep!

Do you eat by candlelight? Read your Kindle or bathe? Do you have a favorite scent? Maybe the only time you think to light a candle is for the top of a birthday cake. ( I know red and white uses lighted candles on her Christmas tree.....she's very brave, but I bet it's beautiful!)

LOB, you are welcome. Thank you for starting. Your artwork is the best. Ammy should hire you and I'm not kidding.

Suze, we would have candles and candlesticks in the house but didn't use them.( firefighter husband)
About 10 years ago, our neighbor gave us snowmen candlesticks. So I was shocked went my husband put them lit on the Christmas table. After everything was set on the table, our electricity went out. What a beautiful sight, a candle lit Christmas dinner with my family around it.
