So buy crap just because it's cheaper. See if we care.

Just Peachy says:
Isn't $2.99 still a good deal if the book is good?

I just bought the The Earth's Children Series 6-Book Bundle for $42.99 because I hadn't ever read 4 & 5, and hadn't heard that 6 was out! I thought $7.17 per book was pretty good. And that's not even a DD.

Buy what you want.

You're really whining about books on sale for $2.99? Wow. Just wow.

MikeJW says:
You come here and drop your whine -- why? Because you think we care? Pretty presumptuous don't you think?

Maybe she thinks authors don't need to eat.

The Blade says:
You should do that. Stop visiting the Kindle Daily Deal site. Yep. Stick to reading the backs of cereal boxes (FREE when you buy the cereal) 'cause you won't find any paper books at that price.

T. Cook says:
Even better, only 2 of the Daily Deal books are $2.99, the other 2 are $1.99, rather than "3 books at $2.99"... So one extra book might be cheap enough for her...

CBRetriever says:
and it could be worse: the $2.99 book is $14.41 for me, the $1.99 one is $10.09 and the other is $8.51

on the other hand The Impostor is $1.30 (amazon.fr daily deal price carried over to amazon.com)

Clearly the OP doesn't understaand nearly as much as she thinks she does.

Completely free if you stand in the grocery aisle.

The Right Hand

Considering that the USED paperback price is $9.87 a $2.99 Kindle price is pretty good.

You do know that you're not required to buy the daily deal books, right?

Erich says:
"Just saying."

If there is a phrase in the English language that makes me cringe with vile, barely suppressible hatred more than "just saying", I've yet to find it.

Maybe, just maybe, the noun form of "to hate" comes close. "Hater".

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 19, 2013 10:27:56 AM PDT
"Calm down."
"I was only kidding."
"Can't you take a joke?"

These are some of mine.

flipoid says:
What, you're *complaining* that Amazon puts books that could cost $14.00 (print & digital list price for Jill Mansell's "Walk in the Park" that's a daily deal today, with a paperback price of $11.54) on sale for $1.99?

Good luck going into a bookstore and getting NEW print books for that price!

(Edited to correct price.)

Erich says:
"Know what I'm sayin'?"

and any of the almost ubiquitous "word spelled with one letter" abbreviations; e.g. "r", "u", "2", "y". Honestly, the engineer who invented text messaging should be taken out and flogged. Just sayin'...

Anne Shirley says:
The word that makes me cringe with unsuppressible scorn is "hater." I think under-age, under-educated and relatively low on the IQ scale every time I see someone use that word as a comeback to hearing something they disagree with.
