I thought I was purchasing an audio book from Amazon using audio.com but I got the "print" version downloaded to my Kindle Fire. What did I do wrong and what should I have done?

Claudia, first, you can "return" the book, if you like. Go to

http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle

As long as you are within seven days of purchase, when you click or tap

Actions...

you'll the choice to return it.

Second, could it be Audible.com? That one is owned by Amazon.

If you are getting books from Audible on your Fire, you should use the Audible app (which should already be on your Fire).

You can return the print book by going to http://www.amazon.com/myk and choosing Return for Refund in the Actions box to the right of the title.

I can't tell what you did wrong because I don't know what you did in the first place. All I can suggest is that you make sure the product page you're purchasing from is the one for the audio book. I believe it will take you to audible.com to complete the purchase if it is actually an audio book.
