Judith, edit your post and delete you phone number! This is a very public forum, not Customer Support. No one from Amazon will call you!

Then go to Manage Your Kindle / Manage Your Devices. Make a note of the serial number from the missing Kindle, then de-register it.

Then contact Kindle CS and report it lost. They will blacklist it and prevent anyone from registering it. Use the Help link at the top of the page. (it may say Customer Service) Then use the Contact Us button you'll see on the next page.

Judith, you need to edit your post and remove you phone number immediately! And if you get any calls claiming to be from Amazon, don't believe them. Amazon does not return calls to numbers posted here.

You need to go to Manage Your Kindle here on the site. On the left side of the page, you will see Manage Your Devices. Click that. Find the picture of your missing device and write down the serial number.

Now call Kindle Customer Service. Give them the serial number. They will prevent anyone who finds it from registering it to another account.

But please, first remove your phone number!!
