Just got a tablet, previously had a basic kindle. Got my amazon account hooked up and the books that I had on my kindle showed up on my tablet. But when I open the books, the title shows up at the top but there is no text on the page???????

Do you have the app set for white text on a black background? If so, it may be that the book is formatted to work only on black text against a white background.

If that's not the case, contact Customer Service for help.

My son had the same problem and has not been able to resolve it. It is so infuriating as he has so many books but is unable to read them. We have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times to no avail.

or a kindle?

the OP is talking about an actual Kindle.

and if you're talking about an app, there's been a problem with them lately and I understand there may be a new version out (I know absolutely nothing about the apps)

you're correct, very sorry (I'd just answered a similar one over at another forum) and I was reading tablet as Kindle Fire

however, the Artist has the best answer which is to contact Customer Service as a lot of people are experiencing the same problem

It's a bit difficult for us to contact Customer Service from South Africa, we have tried without much success. Perhaps a future update might sort out his problem. In the meantime he is managing to read his books on another app.

Chat is your best option then and if you can't get through on one browser, try another (someone had success with Chrome earlier today)
