The Fashionista Murders (The Kate Conway Novels) - Mystery

Ordered to Paris to cover the fall fashion shows, Investigative Reporter Kate Conway wonders what happened to her career of tracking down stolen art masterpieces while sending CEOs and movie stars to prison-until fashionistas start turning up grotesquely murdered and dressed in a strange fabric.
Kate interrupts a wildly romantic fling to plunge into the search for the killer-both dramas heightened by a tumultuous world of supermodels, photographers and Russian and American billionaires. She'll need to summon every last ounce of her courage and cunning to trap the guy. And she'd better hurry-he can't wait to slip his black gloves around Kate's lovely freckled neck.

An Ogham Wood
Where does one begin the tale of An Ogham Wood? Perhaps with the Lady Ellidurydd who was born three thousand years ago in wooded Wales and fell in love with a stag of the forest. Or perhaps the tale should begin fifteen hundred years later with Dylan O'Shee, exiled prince of a lost Irish kingdom who had the gift of finding souls. Maybe it truly begins with the vanishing of the Hundred Horsemen, for it was then a band of wandering Celtic tinkers appeared with a vision to save the fading faerie folk of the West.

Aye, in any and all these places the tale could begin, and others too. For the lives of many, mortals and not, have been woven into the myth of the Ogham Wood. But let us begin it in the moment, in the last days of the Island of Manannan, with Sweyn deSauld, a man bereft of family, of hope, and even his right mind.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around. RL is kicking my behind. With handicapped children I have 12 therapist's coming every week. Then there was getting ready for school, and meetings to figure out how many hours they would be able to attend (sigh) Unexpectedly one of my furbabies got sick and passed away. Two days later after his brother stopped eating his liver failed. So I had to put him to sleep. So I lost both my baby boys. They were my cats of 17 years. I buried them both together. I still here them running and playing thru the house. And that was just last week that this happened. Oh well enough. Sorry this post is so long. Off to pick up a few things before the madness starts. (((HUGS)))

The {{{{Hugs}}}} need to be sent to you, my goodness what a time you have been having :-(
I do hope that all is now sorted for the children and they have their timetables and therapies in check and you can all start to relax a bit more, the start of school is always stressful (usually more so for the grown-ups than the kids)
So sad to loose both of your furbabies at the same time, but actually probably best for them because one would have mourned the other and been really sad - now they are together as they have always been. I am so sorry for your loss ♥

Hello NC Red Rose

I have been trying to find a reason to call in and actually post instead of staying outside in the cold while so busy and not able to respond to everyone's news big and small, and other daily doings properly, which I hate - your post definitely called out to me and made me come into the room to give you the biggest hug (((Red Rose))). And hello to everyone of course, I've been skimming and lurking and thinking of you all. But - poor Rose - I hope you have got a few things more sorted now and I think redandwhite hit the nail on the head - your boys are together and won't be missing each other even though of course now you are missing them both dreadfully.

My "old man" is only 13 and we only got him (and his brother, who sadly promptly escaped within a fortnight and didn't make it back home again...) as rescues, or rather, from someone who had to give them up, a few years ago, but I can't imagine what it will be like without him and his leapy, loopy ways. You are definitely in my thoughts and I hope that something turns up to make your day or week just when you least expect it. Hope school start goes ok and that you have some friends and support right now. As well as those here, of course - I see again and again that they are up there with the very best kind.

Biscay xxxxxx

I am so sorry for the loss of your 2 buddies!! As hard as it is, I also think it's good they made that journey together.
I lost my cat, Snickers 7 weeks ago today and I still cry at times and also forget that she's not here anymore. She was 16 1/2, so I had her the long time you had your guys.......it is a real loss that you will grieve. God bless you and also for your great care of needy kids!

Sounds like one didn't want to go on without the other, since I just had to let go of my 14 year old Pommie last Wednesday, I understand how difficult this is, and how much they are missed even knowing you did the right thing. Will be thinking of you

NC Red Rose: I am soooooooo sorry for your loss!!!

I too am dealing with having to put one of our furbabies over the rainbow bridge. She is approximately 18 (we got her as a stray when she was 3ish) and her name is LB (stands for little b*tch because she hated me as the only other "girl" in the house). I sadly should have done it Saturday but I had my GS with me and wanted the DH to at least say goodbye - now he's dragging his feet hoping she will "get better". Very difficult time........

I am sending healing thoughts your way {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Good morning/afternoon everyone! I'm sorry I didn't have a better start for you this morning, but I had a feeling that Sandy had overslept with all of the hard work she was doing on her house so I threw a quick and basic start together thinking she would step in and add what she had planned for the days start and carry on from there.

Tuesday's are always a difficult day for me to open and moderate the thread because I have a standing appt. from 11:00 to 12:00 with my healer. I will be back a bit later to pick things up and respond to everyone's posts. ❤
