The problem I'm having is with the Amazon Silk browser on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I realize this is a fairly low powered device, but it's not too low powered to be able scroll pages.. except it is!

The problem is that on the Kindle Fire in its Silk browser the header appears to be being redrawn as you scroll and looks incredibly glitchy.

Has anyone ever come across this or a similar problem? And any suggestions on how to solve?

I've turned off accelerated browsing that doesn't do anything. I've restarted my kindle and I've used multiple browsers. I'm a tech savvy person so intelligent responses only please. I've heard that this was a bug in the Kindle Fire HD until it got fixed in update 10.3. However I have the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and the update only goes up to 8.4_6

Just an example for pages like this http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/
try it guys if you have a kindle 8.9.

Did you clear cache and history?

Yes of course. To give you a better understanding of what I mean you can follow along with me as long as you have a Kindle 8.9 on sites like this: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/

Sometimes I find the sites with a lot of ad panes (read: pains) are pretty glitchy. If the "reading view" is available, that often solves that problem.

My fire recently started having issues when I scroll. I deleted the history and cach but it is still doing it. It scrolls fine for a while then the middle of the page disappears as you scroll down so there is a part of the page I can not read. This happens when I browse the web. Does anyone has a solution?

Doing the same on my 1st gen fire hd 7. Even in reading view. Must be last night's silk update.

Reading view is still doing the same glitchy scrolling. Good idea though.

Exact same scrolling problem here as well. Reset to factory defaults and worked fine until silk automatically updated. How long can I expect this to go on?

Silk just had an update - and it's doing the same for me

scrolling slowly seems to help some, but it's a real problem on some sites

My guess is after enough complaints, they make another update, and no one knows about it until the problems just stops one day. Seems to be the way it usually goes.

Yeah, my fire hd has ways worked fine, but couple of days ago it started to have a problen with scrolling, like half stayed and the lower part scrolled over it, kind of hard to explain - anyone know how long they'll take to solve the problem and put a new update out?

I sent a pretty in depth description of the problem to customer service, and got a pre-written response saying more or less "We're sorry that Silk won't open for you. Do a reset and see if the app will open." Obviously nobody paid any attention to the contents of the email. Probably just a program that tracks keywords in emails and responds automatically with a form response.

Wow. I found it funny. I guess everyone is experiencing this? My kindle hd 7 started doing this last night as well when I went to use it. I will also be forwarding an email or maybe call.

Also happening on my 7" Fire HD. From last night almost every web page has tearing midway down while scrolling and occasionally shaking when not scrolling.

Where can we go to get this problem recognised and fixed asap?

I found this page by accident. Glad I did thought my kindle fire HD was dying now I know it's some glitch. Hope they fix it soon.
