I sent a PDF to my @kindle.com email address.
It showed up in my iPad Kindle app.
Marvelous!

Here's my silly Kindle/PDF question:
I'm eventually gonna get the new PaperWhite 3G [KPW3G2]
when it FINALLY comes out in November.
Will the PDF that I sent to & was recieved by my iPad Kindle app
be sucked down from the cloud then sent to also be
recieved by & show up on my KPW3G2?

Thanks!

The Artist says:
Does it show on your Manage Your Kindle page (www.amazon.com/myk)? If so, you will be able to download it to your PW from the cloud. If it doesn't show up on your MYK page, you can either e-mail it to the PW's e-mail address, or use the Send to Kindle app to add it to your Kindle library.

Funny you mention the MYK thing.
I accidently tapped to MYK
and saw the PDF prominently displayed at the top of the list. lol

So, because of that, I can get it onto the KPW3G2 from the cloud.
Excellent news!
Thanks, man!

But this SEND TO KINDLE [STK] app you mention: I'm intrigued.
Please tell me a little more about that.
Is STK an iPad app, or what?

I use this one on my PC to send things like knitting patterns, blog posts or whatever else I'd regularly print to my Fire HD from my PC:

Very handy. I especially like to save blog entries of authors who do short story updates of their characters between books. Easier to save the post to my Kindle than look up posts for stories that weren't published traditionally elsewhere.

ETA: the Chrome browser extension is also very useful and both save the sent docs to your library.

OK, thanks a bunch.
It looks like STK could really come in handy!

I use STK extensively...most Office documents can also be saved as a PDF, which I do, then use STK to send it, and open it as PDF...this keeps the original formatting of the document. Also - if you use Adobe App on the Fire, you can "manipulate" that PDF just as on a PC, complete with highlights and added notes...

EDIT added - with STK, you can "select" which device you want to send the document...STK also works with other documents beyond PDF...but it may reformat some. With Office, you can also save an EXCEL spreadsheet as a PDF - VERY handy. So...if you have K4PC, or the Kindle App on your phone...you can send your document to that as well...
