Kindle DX, Free 3G, 9.7" E Ink Display, 3G Works Globally

Question for DX 9.7 users: How easy is it to use the Web Brouser? I frequently connect to the local library to borrow or download books. Do you find it easy to do this and generally brouse the web?

A. Dietz says:
The web browser on all e-Ink Kindles, like the DX, is "experimental." It's slow, clunk, doesn't support many advanced browser features, and is generally a pain to use. You would be much, much better off using a browser on a PC or Mac to get books from your local library and then transfer them via USB to your Kindle.

I find it tortuous.

That's an excellent word to describe the web browsers on e-Ink Kindles.

I have Kindle for PC on my computer and Amazon purchases to the PC does not generate a file that can be transferred, and the borrowed ones from the library which expire same as a book are not transferred as a file that can be moved to another PC I don't think. I think library borrow's would probably have to be sent direct to the Kindle. ???
