Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 6" Display, White - 2nd Generation

My internet at home is set up as a hotspot (free with my rent). I am unable to connect to wifi and there is not a choice for "wifi networks" in my settings. Is there a way to set up a 2nd generation kindle to hotspot wifi?

It doesn't have wifi, only 3G.

That Kindle can only connect via 3G, not wi-fi.

I believe, and someone will come correct me if I am wrong, that your model is 3G only. It does not have wi fi capability.

Here's the help page for wireless on the Kindle 2nd Gen.

Bixillarla says:
The 1st and 2nd generations Kindles do not have Wifi capabilities. They started adding Wifi with the 3rd generation now the Kindle Keyboard.
