My son accidentally de-registered his Kindle Fire HD last night after trying the wrong password too many times. I re-registered it under the same account, but now all his content is gone. Most of it can be re-downloaded from the cloud, but all of the progress he's made in games (including all in-app purchases) has been lost. Is there a way to restore it? Please help - he's so upset!

Nope. *Some* apps have an online back-up system, but that would have had to be engaged before deregistering.

Start over.

Sometimes we just have to live with the bad outcome of a mistake we made. Fortunately your son's mistake was comparatively harmless - no-one got hurt, no friendships have been broken, and nothing life-threatening happened. Could have been much worse!

(And no devices were broken, either!)

Got a new iPad and downloaded my kindle app. When I logged in, it shows none of my digital purchases! And when I log into they are gone from my account as well. Is there any way to recover them? I had about 6 or 8 digital books on there some of which I haven't even read yet.

You probably have created a second account, and are no logged into the one where the books are.
