I seem to last longer reading than my Kindle's battery. I know you can buy external battery chargers for smartphones. Do they make them for Kindle paperwhites? I will be on vacation and can read 2 books a day on the beach but the paperwhite won't let me. I thought that the power thing would allow me to read for a longer time If there is such a thing, can you suggest a good one to buy?

Any of the external batteries that work for smart phones and tablets will work for the Paperwhite. Here's an example New Trent iCarrier 12000mAh Portable Dual USB Port External Battery Charger/Power Pack for Smartphones, Tablets and more (Now w/Micro-USB charge port).

You only get one day of use from your battery? There may be something else gong on. Make sure to turn off your Wi-Fi when you don't need it. Also, you may want to see if a book is stuck indexing. From your home screen, do a search of "My Items" for a nonsensical word like fcghdxfcg. If there are any books showing that were added more than about an hour before, it's probably stuck indexing. Delete it from your device and re-download.
