I would like to talk to someone who has kindle prime and do you think it is worth the money?

@C. Thatcher,
It is actually called Amazon Prime. As far as being worth it depends on how you are going to use it. If you order a lot of packages from Amazon, you have free 2-day shipping. That can save you a lot of money. You have access to the Kindle Owners Lending Library (KOLL). You can borrow one book a month and keep it as long as it takes you to read it. You have access to some streaming movies for free.

I have it and use it a lot. I think it is well worth the money. I have had it about a year and plan to renew it when it is time.

I hope this helps.

Buying prime just to borrow 12 kindle books a year is not worth it to me. If you factor in the free two day shipping and prime instant videos and plan to use them, then yes it's worth it.

With all the shopping we do on Amazon, plus streaming video to our TV and 3 Fire devices, it is worth it for us. We haven't really even used the Kindle Owners Lending Library much - maybe once.

Amazon Prime's value is an individual thing as the previous posters have mentioned.

I have had my membership since November of last year. Overall, I have a vague feeling of disappointment. But, if I analyze closely what it has allowed me to do without incurring additional charges I must admit that the value proposition has overall been positive for me.

My usage of Amazon Prime has been quite light. I have watched a couple of free movies, most notably The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, borrowed a couple of books, become addicted to the BBC series Doctor Who, watched reruns of NYPD Blue, and saved some money ordering little things which were shipped for free. A few of the later were impulse buys; wouldn't have bought them except for the free shipping. The total dollar value of the free shipping, movie tickets, rental charges, etc. might or might not add up to more than the cost of my Amazon Prime membership but the value of the convenience and additional freedom to choose entertainment on a whim pushes it to the plus side of the ledger.
