It is up to the publisher to provide page numbers, which must correspond to a particular edition to be of use. Books that come with page numbers say so on the product description page just above the format block.

Amazon provides locations, which are about 128 bytes of data and do not change with font style, size, line spacing, margins, etc.. Locations are consistent across all Kindle devices and apps regardless of user-specified formatting.
