I've loaned a book however the recipient doesn't see it. Is it possible to retrieve an unaccepted book or view who it was sent to instead of waiting for 7 days for it to be accepted?

You can't shorten the 7 day period. Did they read the email that they were sent when you lent them the book? Did you send it to their regular email address and not to their Kindle's email address? Did you follow the procedure at ?

CS might be able to cancel the loan if you ask them.

Procedures were followed. Others have been successful. If the inbox doesn't exist will there be an error message somewhere?

It's odd that I can't see who it was loaned to.

There won't be any error messages. Did she get the email at her regular email address? Did she check her spam folder?

It's a gmail account. Some have worked and some have not. Guess I'm stuck with not being able to verify who it's loaned to as well as waiting or seven days.

Thx for your help.

Use the large orange Contact Us button to the right to contact Amazon Kindle CS and talk with them about it - use the live chat or the call back feature if you can, not email. If you can't see a Contact Us button on this page, then go to and contact CS. I advise using Live Chat or the Call Me Back feature and not email, as they will have your account details available to them immediately when you talk with them.
