Just Peachy says:
The Prime (not prime time) program is about shipping and now a lot about streaming videos. The book borrowing is just a perk and the offering can change at any time.

If you want to borrow books for free, check out your local library.

Sarida says:
1. Each of us has to decide whether the Prime benefits are worth the money. For me it is, because I live in a very rural part of America and it is cheaper to buy many things from Amazon than drive 120 miles to pick it up. My watchlist for my Instant Streaming is growing, too, since we "cut the cable."

2. Thank you for reminding me about the KOLL, because I haven't borrowed anything yet this month! I forgot!

how do you borrow a book with the prime membership. I don't want to click on buy it, but don't see any other button.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 24, 2014 5:00:07 AM PDT
you could do what many of us do, which is keep a wishlist of potential prime books that you are interested in and then each month scroll though - yes, they are going to change depending on the author/publisher - but if you have a ready list, it cuts down on some of the heartache

you have to borrow via your kindle - go to the kindle store interface; find the book you want to borrow and it should have a borrow for free button you can select

Just Peachy says:
You have to borrow it from your Kindle. If you have a Fire, you have to go under the "Books" tab, not through the web browser.

That is an idea thanks

King Al says:
That is simply not true. Most of the books I borrow have been on my "KOLL Wishlist" for at least 6 months by the time I borrow them.

Miss Carol says:
You'll have to talk to Customer Service about that and this is not it. This is just a place for customers to talk about Kindles. Click the blue Help link at the top (and bottom) of every page and then the button that says Contact Us. Either use the live chat or have them call you - don't use email for this issue. What probably happened was that you got a free membership with something and then didn't bother to cancel it before the month was up.

MikeJW says:
If you're talking to me, Betty Paseur, no, I don't think so. You had Prime for a trial period, and it automatically renewed. You agreed to that, after all.

Dittie says:
You signed up for it without reading the details and now you're ordering other customers to fix it NOW because you didn't bother to read about where you're posting your complaints.

Okay. Sure, what was the credit card number, the expiration date and the three digit number from the back of the card.

Am I the only one who wants to see what happens if we all let her think this IS where she should be demand...er...asking to have the charge removed? And nothing happens. I want to know what happens next if she thinks her only recourse is posting here. Hehehe.

Sarida says:
Oh come on, Mike. Don't be a spoil sport and give her the money back!
And I could use some money, too.

Although.....I did get an email saying someone died and left me $15 million. All they want is my bank number to deposit it to my account.

Seems reasonable, right?

Dittie says:
Not at all. Am I the only one who reasonably assumes she's no more reading the comments here than she read any of the other pertinent information?
