You simply re-download them from your Amazon account

How to you do that without having to pay again for the apps, etc. that we already paid for?

When you get the new Fire, tap "Apps" or "Games", then tap "Cloud". All of your compatible games and apps will be listed. Tap on one to download it.

So it will be registed to me like the kindle we have now and then all of these apps etc. will be listed under cloud and then I will be able to download them again on the new kindle fire hd 8.9" when it comes available for purchase in November free without having to pay again for them?

Amazon keeps track of them for you. As long as your new Fire is registered to the same account as your old Fire, all your Amazon content will be available to download. You can do this from the Manage Your Kindle page (www.amazon.com/myk) or from the Cloud on your new Kindle.

What about things like Slingplayer? I do not see it on my new Kindle Fire HD. Can it be transferred without paying for it again?
