I'm curios, I have a KK and a 10" tablet. I'm still thinking I need another TWO tablets(9"HD Fire and 7" android) and a PW 3G.

What do you have? How do you justify it? LOL

What do you want? Why?

I have a KK and I had a Fire but it didn't do what I needed it to do, so I gave it to my mom and got myself an iPad.

Bookworm (KK) is used for reading books, some of which I never would have given a chance before. I have also used it for conferences. Making a paper into an e-book and reading it from the Kindle is easier than with loose pieces of paper.

My iPad is mainly used for, writing, editing and looking at information I have collected while I am on the go. But I play games on it and watch movies, too. The iPad is easier to lug around than my laptop.

7" Kindle Fire HD (mine), 1st Gen Kindle Fire (gave to the hubby), Basic Kindle (for bathtub reading), Paperwhite wi fi model (because I got tired of not being able to see the screen on the basic Kindle).

Love them all. I plan to get a new 7" HD Fire if Ammy revamps them, and then give the old one to my Dad, who swears he doesn't want a tablet or ereader, but keeps asking me how it works!

I have a Kindle Keyboard for Audible E-Book play, and a Kindle (Basic) for non-Audible e-book reading. I have an iPad Mini for business production tasks...word processing, photo editing, etc. I will soon be buying a Kindle Fire of one type, or another. I won't be using it to play games, or watch videos, on, but will use it to store more Audible e-books on, and to play the Audibles on when my Keyboard finally breaks down. I may also get a PaperWhite eventually, and use that for reading in bed. I prefer an e-Ink reader to a backlit LCD screened item. The LCD screened Fires are now the only Kindles with audio capability, though, so I will eventually need one for my Audible books. Since I will be listening to them, rather than reading them, the LCD screen won't be bothering my eyes, as they will not be staring at it. A PaperWhite would let me read on it, during the day, while the Basic is charging, and read on it at night without having to have a room light / lamp on. My iPad is for business use, and my Kindles are for various personal uses. If a new PaperWhite comes out, which has lots of memory capability, and also has audio capability, I would get that, and not bother with a Fire. Time will tell. I am waiting to see what September / October bring in the way of newer models.

My first K2i lives at my mom's house, still registered to my account. I gave my first Fire to one of my DIL's, it is also still registered to my account. I had a Basic, that I gave to a young friend, to use on her account.

At home here, is my Fire HD 7", my Paperwhite, and an iPad that I use for everything except reading. My husband uses a Basic Kindle. I also have a DXG, that really isn't being used anymore.

T. Schiel says:
1 original Kindle (sold when I got a new Kindle)
1 K2i (not used much now)
1 Original Fire (now used by sis in law)
1 Fire HD 8.9 (video and music)
1 Kindle Touch (used by neighbor)
1 Paperwhite (for reading outdoors and traveling)
1 Nook Simple Touch (used occasionally)
1 Nook HD + (mostly Android Tab for TV, video and games)
1 original Samsung Galaxy 7 (my now main reader indoors.)
1 elderly Sony PR500 redone for epubs instead of lrf (rarely used since the software is clunky but I bought enough books to keep it. Sony sold a lot of books by authors in bundles.
I wish Amazon would do more of that.

I'm eyeballing that new Nexus 7 but I'll wait and see what Amazon has in store for us. Since they are cleaning out old stock relentlessly, it shouldn't be too long a wait.

At this moment in time I have a PW and a first gen. Fire (which I haven't used in months...can't remember the last time, in fact).

1 paperwhite, 1 iphone and 1 iPad used by me; 1 Samsung Galaxy 7" and 1 kindle touch used by my son on my account. I thought about buying a kindle fire but I'd rather wait and see what the next version of the paperwhite will be.

My family thinks I'm a gadget addict but I'm doing good compared to you guys. :-)

K. Rowley says:
Hmm, my first ereader was a palm PDA - a Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld, still have it and a library of ebooks I bought for it from eReader.com & Fictionwise. Next I bought one of these, EACTO JETBOOK-LITE EREADER - which could use all the ebooks I had for the palm PDA.

Then I started buying Kindles. I have two of the Kindle Keyboards (black & white), and I have one of the Kindle Touches. Plus I have several android tablets with ereader apps, and two of the HP TouchPads. Oh, and I bought one of these to use as an ereader for textbooks - ViewSonic VSD220 22-Inch (21.5-Inch Vis) Full HD 1080p LED Touchscreen Smart Display and Android 4.0 ICS All-in-One.
