how do I reset my kindle fire password online?

I changed my password on my Kindle Fire and forgot what it was, apparently there is NO way Kindle Support can reset your password for you - it gives you 50 tries to figure it out, if not, you lose all your data and have to reset your devise as though it were brand new, i.e., have to re-register it. I'm VERY disappointed in Amazon, prior to this I was thinking I would rate Amazon Kindle Fire a 10, now I'm down to about a 4.

that's because your password, for security reasons, is not stored on your Amazon account

Because YOU forgot what YOU changed YOUR password to? Um...okay, then.

If you lose the key to your house do you expect the realtor to come out and rekey your locks?

When you lock your keys in your car are you VERY disappointed that the dealership can't unlock your doors with some sort of remote control?

A password is just another form of key. You lose your key that means you lose the ability to unlock that door. It's as simple as that. Oh, and before you argue that your email can reset your password that's something entirely different. You aren't unlocking something local in that case. It's more like you lost the key to the place you work or a mailbox at a post office. Those keys can be replaced because the lock is at the place of business, not in your possession.

So you are upset with Amazon because you cannot remember your passwords? If you are having memory problems maybe you should write things down. I don't know of any tablet that can be reset remotely.
