kindle app problems

It might be helpful to say which Kindle App you are experiencing this with (PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) and from where you downloaded it? Did you purchase your ebooks from Amazon?

Try rebooting your tablet. If that doesn't work uninstall the app and then install it again.

I have the one for the iPad and I'm having the same issue - also the iPhone one is doing the same thing. I tried reinstalling, rebooting, etc.

There's something wrong with the app.i lost money buying books, and haven't found them yet. I even called amazon and they say their working on it but haven't emailed me yet which leads me to believe that they dont even know what the problem is.i give up too.

I also am having this problem with my kindle app for android. Books continue to disappear. Sometimes they are in archive and I can reload. Sometimes they are just gone. If I remember title, I can reacquire from store without repaying. I was reading a book last night, maybe a fourth way through. Today is gone. For awhile thought this was some weird feature.

Downloaded an App from Amazon. I'm getting a message that I already own it-please find it in the Apps library. It is not in the Apps library, either in the cloud or on the device. Any suggestions?

Given my own experience, so far, I've been able to find all my books by going to Amazon, logging in, going to my account>manage your kindle. They are listed there and I can always resend my book to my app. It's just a "pain," that it disappears in the first place.

I do note it seems to happen whenever I use the disk-drive option of the android and then attempt to read... so it's possible it's simply a case of can't find the directory while connected, so it "forgets," where it is after.

That's just my observation...

I have been using the Kindle app for Android without any problems. Rented a new book and had it sent to my phone. Now I get a message that I need to install an update. I have done this several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have rebooted my phone. I cannot get past the install update message. Please help!

I have a book open but want to close it and get back to the library.
Every time I try, the Nexus 7 Kindle app just goes back to the open book.
How do I close it?

Since Amazon replaced the "old" Kindle app with this new one, around the end of last year, beginning of this year(?) it was nothing but issues with my PC Kindle. Solution? To hell with Kindle. I'm using other e-book applications that work quite well and I can access e-books just as easily. There are quite a few e-book apps available out there, no one is forced to use Kindle - it's just the Amazon power play to make people believe they need it. If and when Amazon deals with their mess, I may return, but until then, all's well with the competition. I had called Amazon long ago and tried to get things working but no one's listening: the wheel is turning but the hamster's dead over there.

I just set up my new iPhone 6 Plus and now my Kindle reader will not allow me to sign in and tells there is no account associated with my email address. I deleted the app and also reset a new password at amazon.com and it still will not allow me to sign into the iPhone Kindle app. Anyone else having this problem?
