I was wondering if anybody could inform me as to whether it is possible to use Office programmes such as Word, Powepoint, Excel? Im planning on getting a bluetooth keyboard, cant imagine doing any decent typing on that small screen!

No, you cannot use MS Office products because they are Microsoft products, so they run on Windows OS, not the Android OS.

But you can buy Android Apps from the Amazon store that allow you to create/edit Word, Powerpoint, Excel files.

I used to have a Palm PDA, and I edited files on that, so I don't see Kindles as having a "small" screen...

Apps which can view and edit MS Office documents include, Office Suite Pro, Documents to Go, KingSoft Office, and Olive Office Premium. The most expensive cost $14.99 while others are free. These are available in the Amazon App Store. Google Quick Office is free but must be side loaded.

Maybe if MS thinks they can sell enough at $15 to make it pay.

Microsoft now makes a remote desk top app for both android and apple devices. I downloaded it on my iPad and it is fantastic. It even has an "access my PC function." The app was free.
