My husband bought me a Kindle when it first came out. I love it and have several hundred books on it but I have been looking at the Fire. My question is can I transfer the books to the Fire?
I also am looking to see if the screen is also the same easy read outside like the Kindle.

1. Register the Fire to the same account as the old Kindle, and then all the books will be available for download to the Fire.

2. The Fire has an LCD screen like your computer, so it can not be easily read outside. Think about what your computer screen would be like outside.

That's what it looked like and that's a let down because I so enjoy reading out on my back deck and taking my Kindle to the beach.. Thx

@Kimberly: Lots of people have their e-ink Kindle for reading and their Fire for other things. Amazon loves those people!! LOL
