Can anyone tell me if the ereader part of the new HD FIRE has any improved features regarding the organization of your library? That was my chief complaint with the Fire vs the original Kindle... Also, the Fire was very random in how it stored non-Amazon ebooks that were transferred to it... Half my books showed up in "books", and the others in "Docs" (This, despite pointers on how to remedy this, it never did...). So if this is better than the prior kindle, Im in... Thoughts??

No change regarding collections
It is a problem. My work around has been using Shelfari for tagged items as I was able to see Book Extras descriptions but that has been taken away

Nospin, do you have the new Fire? Can you tell how much space is allocated to apps? On the original it was 1.17G.

Any updates on the original post re books showing up in the "docs" section? Does that still happen with the Fire HD?

I don't see any books listed in the docs section.

I have the original Fire. I had some mobi formatted books that I could only see by looking in the docs section. You had to change some of the metadata so that they would be seen in the books section.

After typing in collections for kindle fire, the only app I found for $2.99 was Book Collections. It also has a three star average rating with most of the problems with either not working/crashing etc or not working as described. It sounds like just what we would like except for when you leave the app it does not return you the same page as you were on.

Oh. I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about all books appearing in the docs. I don't have anything but Ammy books. Sorry.
