have separate accounts.

The books that you purchase belong to the account. All devices that are registered to that account has access to all books owned by that account. All Kindles have parental controls but I'm not sure that even parental controls allows you to pick which books your son sees.

Note, that your son will only see the cover in the cloud view until he actually downloads the book. Most people just set up 2 accounts - one for the children's books and one for the adult books.

If your kindles are on one account, they both have access to all of the books. However, YOU direct which kindle a book is delivered to. When a book is ordered, it does not automatically get delivered to all devices on the account.

If you do not want your son to have access to your library, then as seedlady said, he'll need to have a separate account.

**just noticed - no tracking...

A the time of purchase, you can select which Kindle the book goes to. There is a drop-down menu that is near the one-click buy button that lists the devices registered to your account. However, the book will still probably appear on the Kindle Fire's screen, and all your son would have to to is tap on the image to download the book.

They only go to the device you choose at the time of purchase. But yeah, whatever you buy will SHOW on ALL registered Kindles & apps as available for download. If he has a Fire, YEP, all your purchases will show on his carousel. Bodice-rippers & all! ;0)

I opened a seperate account for my son's Kindle & books.

In addition to the many fine comments you're received already, the device is a Kindle Paperwhite, not a Kindle white page.

Edited - too many margaritas at lunch (in my dreams)

I imagine that was auto correct, and not an error on your part, A.

What's funny is that "whitepaper" isn't a real word either, is it?

Maybe it was going for "white paper". I'm always amused when it autocorrects to "paper weight". Which a broken PW certainly could be ;)

I'd have thought Aunty would include their product names in the device dictionaries.

True. But when I post to the forums a mobile device, it's from an iThing. Maybe they autocorrect incorrectly on purpose in some giant conspiracy against Ammy :)

Sorry about that, I have absolutely no excuse. I must have had a huge brain fart, and I throw myself on the mercy of the court. It's been corrected. I even had my Kindle Paperwhite on my desk in front of me when I typed it.

Are you using your kindle to keep the papers on your desk from blowing around?
