Make sure you are not in the Cloud tab instead of the Device tab at the top of the app page. The Cloud requires wifi connection.

I take that back, it didn't work for the apps. I put it on device and it still says I need to connect to the internet.

You're still awesome for helping though =P

You have to connect to the internet and sync your kindle. I had an admin respond and let me know to do this. It worked for me.

I have the same problem. Did you fix it yet?

My kindle fire is not loading my apps. It says "Application (whatever) is not responding. Force close-Wait. When I try wait it still never works and when I do force close it does the same thing when I try again.

Kevin, I would try un-installing, then re-installing the app.

My Kindle is doing the same thing-did you find solution? I saw someone recommend you uninstall and reinstall but if it was one app maybe, but its almost all my apps

Try connecting the Wi-Fi then go to Web and then click the menu on the bottom and click on settings. Clear all cookies, clear the cache and history. Turn the Kindle all the way off and wait about 15 seconds and then turn it on again. Connect to your wi-fi. That worked for me. Not sure if it had any bearing on anything else but I also went into the Kindle settings and then Date & Time and turned on the automatic network provided date and time. Apps are back to working again.

I am having the same problem with the force close. Cleaning out cookies, cache, and history made no difference. Other sites mention that this situation began after the latest Kindle software update. I'd like to know whether efforts to remove and replace apps is worth the trouble if the Kindle software is causing the problem. Any suggestions?

I tried this method on my grandson's Kindle Fire. He had at least three apps that had stopped responding. They appear to be working fine again. I also found that my grandson seldom "powered-off". He usually just hit the switch quickly - all better now!
