For the content you purchase from Amazon you do not have to purchase cloud space, they will store thier content free.

If you want to upload your own content then you will need to pay for extra space if needed.

No, a lot of people think they should get music and books and magazines for free from Amazon just because they bought a Kindle.

(You know you don't have to buy Cloud space to do any of what you are complaining about?)

No - not one in a million, unfortunately. There are many other people who don't read how to use the device before complaining about it here.

Suggestion - the next time you get on an airplane, talk to your fellow passengers who are reading their Kindles and ask them if they are worried about having to buy additional cloud space for their magazine subscriptions. Wait ... I forgot, you don't have to pay for cloud storage to store things purchased from Amazon. Also, unless you are storing a lot of large personal files, 5 gig should last quite a while.

Are you 1 in a million? I don't know, I don't see many people on the forums with this complaint.

You don't say which Kindle your company bought. Just curious.

I don't understand your issues. I have a first gen KF, and it is filled with downloaded books, music, movies, games and apps. I can download all of those things as well as magazines and read them without being connected to wi-fi. Yes, I have to be selective as the KF does not have 64 GB of usable storage, but anything I want is stored in Cloud, so I can delete things from the device and go back and download them again if I so choose.

I can also stream movies and MP3's when I am connected to wi-fi.
You want movies with no wi-fi connection? Buy them and download them. It is all very simple.

Sooo.......what are you frustrated about?

Your company GAVE you a Kindle Fire for Christmas?

Amazon GIVES you 5 gb free cloud storage for items you purchase from Amazon?

And STILL you gripe?

The word 'sheesh' comes to mind

LMAO! I took the iPad back and kept the KF.

LOL Thank you. Whether intentional or not your response was funny. I'll continue my quest to search all available information on my Kindle and possibly determine where to get support if I can't find an answer. I'm sure I'll have to move something to the cloud or use my facebook logon or attach my gmail before I determine that I'll need to purchase cloud space or re-subscribe or re-purchase or traverse the cloud with my existing content to accomplish whatever I attempt to do next. Whereas anyone with an iPad or Windows tablet or any cell phone can easilly move content from one device to another.

Are you inebriated or do you really and truly not get it to this degree?

If that is too much trouble for you, I suggest you sell your Kindle Fire and use the proceeds for a down-payment on the very much more expensive iPad.

Yep - I'm certain that will save you all that money you think you will have to pay for cloud storage (none) on the Fire.

Best of luck,

DL

This is legitimate and yes I am considering selling it. From all of the responses I can see there are people who would be interested in purchasing it. I don't know if anyone has experience with the other products but I encourage you to forget price and look at them. The argument will become "is it worth paying more for a better product" versus "you get what you pay for". I'm grateful to have received the great gift, I'm just disappointed in the product.

Gene, I agree with Emerald Coast's comment earlier: It's unclear what your problem is. Do you drink much on the flights you take every week? Were you imbibing when you wrote your original comment?

All of the KFs do exactly what they are advertised to do. No, they do not have iOS.
Somebody didn't do his homework.
