Why can't I find the prime lending library?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 29, 2013 1:36:05 PM PDT
Lisa, you must be a paid Prime member, be in the US, and you must borrow the book from an actual Kindle.

Can you answer yes to those 3 things? Explain how you are trying to borrow the book...

Posted on Jun 29, 2013 1:39:38 PM PDT
Yes to all three.

I am following the directions in the help box. When I go to Kindle Store, however, I do not see a category that says all categories.

How do you borrow?

Bixillarla says:
Scroll down. Depending on the Kindle you have you may have to scroll the list down to see the all categories option. Is there a scroll bar by the list on your Kindle?

If you have a book in mind, you can just do a search for that book. Then, once you get there on the Kindle, use the BORROW button.

If you click BUY, that is what you do. Which Kindle are you using?

I just typed in all categories on the search line while in the Kindle store. It said that there was 118 titles available, but when I chose one I did not get a "borrow" button.

I have the Fire

What is the book? Not all books are a part of the KOLL.

Not every book is Prime eligible. If there's no borrow button, it's not eligible.

Here's a link to the Prime eligible books. Remember, you MUST borrow them from the Kindle.!133141011%2Cn%3A154606011%2Ck%3Aprime+eligible

I tried about 5 of them....anything that said "Prime members borrow this book for free"

I have been trying off and on for several months to borrow books with no success.

Guess I will hit Overdrive....

We can't look at the book for you if you don't post the title.

Are you trying to borrow from your Kindle? it sounds like you are trying to borrow from your computer.
That won't work. You must borrow from your Kindle.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 29, 2013 1:55:33 PM PDT
Is that particular Kindle registered to the same account as the Prime subscription? If we knew which Kindle this is, we could help you figure out why you're not seeing the Show All Categories link.

Not so much one book...just looking at what is there. I was under the impression that the lending library was quite large when I bought my prime membership, but 6 months in I haven't had success with it.

Thank you The Artist...I finally found the listing!!

However, I still do not have a "borrow" tab...

You are using your Fire to do the searching?

Posted on Jun 29, 2013 1:57:06 PM PDT
It is a Kindle Fire. It is registered to the Prime subscription. The subscription was actually purchased through the Kindle.

And I am trying to borrow it through the Kindle....just don't see the borrow tab.

Tinker-bella says:
What model of Kindle are you trying to borrow from?

Are you the primary paid Prime member, or an invited guest?

 nospin says:
You need to borrow under the books tab.
You can't do it through the web browser.

It is handy to have a KOLL wishlist under your browser. Use it to cho o se a title and then search for that title under the Books tab.

Good point...I always forget that. I rarely do any shopping from my Kindles themselves, the Fire especially.
