I refer to the image that shows on my kindle when it is powered down. Perhaps 50% of the time it features a cover from a romance novel. Since I have never purchased a romance novel from amazon.com (or anywhere else for that matter), why is amazon pushing romance novels my way? Or is this binary, gender-based marketing? For the male owners of a kindle out there -- what percentage of time does amazon display a romance novel on YOUR kindle? If it is 50% then I'll withdraw my charge this is gender-based. If not, are there any amazon marketeers out there reading this? Well, please join the 21st century. Or, at least pay attention to the statistics you surely maintain on my reading habits: science-fiction, history, biography, etc. Over 10 years of buying books from amazon and you will not find a single romance novel.

It's not gender based. Everybody gets the same ads.
